Alphadog was established by Marcus Fillinger in 2003 upon return from his world first North Pole Ice Dive Expedition.

A former Royal Australian Air Force Photographer, Marcus first grew an affinity for this special Arctic breed on one of his many deploymets in the northern hemisphere.

Having driven dogs in the Canadian and Norwegian Arctic for many years on polar expeditions, Marcus felt compelled to create a forever working home for abandoned and surrendered Siberian Huskies.

Huskies are a working dog, and here at the 200 acre alphadog ranch, Marcus and his partner Shannon provide a forever working home for Siberian Huskies in need.

Proceeds from the purchase of merchandise and photographic prints from the alphadog and emulsion websites go directly to the rescue and homing of siberian huskies that need us here at the alphadog ranch.

Our premis is to provide a forever home for as many huskies in need as we can. Our greater aim is to educate dog owners about the commitment and responsibility required to take on a specialist arctic breed. A companion is forever, and not just until the novelty wears off.

We have currently initiated an expedition to the North Pole in 2010 with a team of 8 dogs. Through the subsequent media, we will raise awareness of responsible companion animal guardianship in accordance with the policies established by our good friends at the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW).

Our Mission: Siberian Huskies come to us often through no fault of their own, and are surrendered or abandoned by their owners for various reasons.
